Certified Nursing Assistant

6 week training to prepare students to take CNA Board Exam.  Schedule for training are based on current student population requirements.  Classes may be day or evening.  Students must be able to clear a national background screening. Fees apply. For more information, contact 720-956-0273.

Mentor Program

CCBN provides ongoing mentoring for current nursing students and individuals waiting to enter a nursing school program. 

Letters of Recommendation

CCBN will provide letters of recommendation for current nurses who are members of CCBN . This includes applications for continuing and advanced education  scholarship programs, and employment.

Mary Russell Scholarship

The Mary Russell Scholarship was created in honor of Mary Russell, who was one of the founders of the Colorado Council of Black Nurses.  This $500 annual scholarship is provided to current or incoming black students in accredited nursing school programs. Applications for this scholarship are accepted throughout the year. This Scholarship is awarded each fall. Applications must be accompanied with 2 letters of recommendation. Eligible candidates will be interviewed by CCBN. Contact the treasurer for an application.
